About the Founder
Martha Brazoban
CEO and Founder of MB Architectural Design, has been inspired by the architecture of New York City ever since she moved to the United States from the Dominican Republic.
As a child, she regularly dreamed up designs for new homes and pursued her passion by earning an architectural degree from City College of New York.
Her Professional Journey
Martha’s career began at the NYC Housing Authority, where she worked for 30 years, eventually rising to the position of Director.
During her tenure, she gained extensive experience in repurposing vacant tenement buildings for the homeless, overseeing construction projects, managing the HOPE VI design portfolio in the Rockaways, renovating and expanding community facilities, and managing the facade inspections and repairs of 1,600 residential buildings in NYC.
Commitment to Quality Housing
Throughout her career, Martha became deeply invested in ensuring that everyone could live in well-designed, high-quality spaces.
Her experiences, both personal and professional, have fueled her commitment to making a positive impact on communities. She has always had a vested interest in helping others, demonstrated by her years of service as an interpreter for her loved ones and her work at the NYC Housing Authority.
Community involvement:
Martha is also a co-founder of Women Construct, an organization created to support women within the architectural, engineering, and construction industry.
She is a member of the American Institute of Architects and holds licenses in both New Jersey and New York, underscoring her dedication to professional excellence.
